Reverend Nancy Talbot
Nancy has been the lead minister at Mount Seymour since 2004. Ordained in 1995, she has a natural, unpretentious way of leading worship, a spontaneous sense of humour and a passion for helping people connect with their faith in ways that shape and form their living. She is curious about new and creative ways of being church while staying rooted in the Christian tradition and is always up for a good theological conversation. A practitioner of Ignatian Spirituality, she values exploring the many ways people connect with the sacred both inside and outside of the church.
Nancy lives in North Vancouver with her partner Brenda, their two children Nathan and Joel, and their guinea pig Fuzzy.

Julian Pattison (Music Minister)
Julian found his passion for music at an early age. His piano style combines elements of pop, jazz, Latin, blues, gospel and folk; his secondary instruments include voice, guitar, percussion and organ. For over twenty years, Julian has served as a music leader to United Church congregations and regional/national events. Several of his compositions have been included in the Seasons of the Spirit curriculum as well as the More Voices hymnbook.
Julian holds a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies from Capilano University, a Grade 10 Piano Diploma from the Royal Conservatory of Music, and a Master’s in Business Administration from Royal Roads University. When not leading music at Mount Seymour, Julian can be found accompanying the Higher Ground Women’s Ensemble, emulating Oscar Peterson and Billy Joel at local cocktail receptions and weddings, and accompanying choirs in his community. He is a manager with the Greater Vancouver YMCA and continues to be a popular choice for on-call music opportunities within BC and beyond.
