A Note of Thanks from Rev. Carla
To my Mount Seymour Church Family,
Words are not sufficient to express my gratitude for the outpouring of love and support and shared excitement that I felt surrounding the occasion of my ordination. I will always treasure the notes of blessing I received, the cards, the words of encouragement and congratulations – and the beautiful purple stole – I will wear it during Lent with much love and gratitude for this community. Thank you to all of you who celebrated with me, both in Langley and watching the livestream video at the church. I thank God for leading me to you in November 2017 and thank you for the privilege to continue to serve as one of your ministers.
Neighbourhood B.B.Q. – Thanks!
Thank you to all who volunteered their time to make our Neighbourhood B.B.Q. on Sunday a great success!

Book Review – “Why Am I Afraid To Tell You Who I Am?” by John Powell
A lovely book on communication and the development of intimacy. It is an invitation to the interpersonal encounter, an avoidance of loneliness and isolation. It states that with human encounter, we can then find growth and caring.
Dr. Powell encourages us to accept ourselves as we are, and to love people, not things.
Review by our Librarian – Sylvia Zandberg
