Speaker: Dr. Rami Nader (R.Psych, CACBT)
Dr. Rami Nader is a registered psychologist in private practice specializing in clinical and forensic psychology and was one of the first psychologists in Canada to be certified in cognitive-behavioral therapy by the Canadian Association of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies. He was formerly a director at the North Shore Stress and Anxiety Clinic in North Vancouver and specializes in diagnosis, assessment and treatment of anxiety disorders (specifically, posttraumatic stress disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder and specific phobias) and depression, with a special focus on first responders (e.g., RCMP, other police forces, paramedics). He has conducted hundreds of independent medical examination assessments for the purposes of civil and criminal litigation, WorkSafeBC and WCAT appeals and family law proceedings. He has been qualified as an expert witness in psychology in British Columbia Supreme Court and has given expert testimony in a number of civil and criminal trials. In addition to his private practice, he is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of British Columbia, teaching and training clinical psychology graduate students and has a popular YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/@drraminader) covering topics related to psychology, anxiety and depression.
