Our main source of outreach is to First United Church Mission on Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. It ministers to the homeless and vulnerable by providing services such as a place to sleep and meals. In addition to the proceeds from our popular Thrift Shop, there are many other fun activities which raise money and support our friends at First United. From time to time we also support the Lookout Shelter on the North Shore and the North Vancouver Youth Safe House.
Listed below are some of the ways you can get involved in this worthwhile project:
Donation & Deliveries – Food and clothing for First United are collected at the church from 9-12 am Monday-Friday.
Christmas in June – Paper bag collection of food and toiletries for delivery to First United Church.
Christmas Giving Tree – Donations of socks, underwear, toiletries etc are collected on our Giving Tree. These gifts are taken to First United Mission and other local agencies.
World Food Day in October – The Outreach Team sells purchased food at a higher price and donates the money and food to First United Mission.
